[ *pessimist addiction* ]

-Monday, May 29, 2006- though life is not simple.

i know, one should learn to love and appreciate what he/she have. pero dahil sa alam ni papà na some things can only be explained with "it runs in the blood"- like yung pagiging sobrang kontento sa kung anong meron at ayaw nang mag-try ng iba. i think that's the main reason why papà used to always tell me, "wag kang mako-kontento sa kung anong meron ka, ask for more, seek for more, that would give you the push to strive for more."

he saw how my older brothers and sisters are living their lives, nakita nya na nakokontento na lang sila sa kung anong meron sila, sa kung anong naabot nila, they turned down and let go of opportunities that was given to them because they were afraid, they didn't want to take the risk, they didn't like the uncertainty of maybe or maybe not making it and loosing what they already have.. but above all, they where satisfied with what they have.

but i'm not like them. i don't settle for what i need but for what i want. i'm not one of those people who'd say "okey na 'to hanggang dito lang talaga eh". go get your lazy arse working, sabi nga di ba "do your best and God will do the rest". wanting more and not settling for what i have doesn't necessarily mean that i am not grateful for what God has blessed me with. i appreciate them and i know how ~~meaningless~~ dull my life would be without them. that's why it was so hard answering the "tag" below.. there's just too many indulgences in life!

e.g. Singing in the rain, the movie with the cheek-to-cheek song, Funny face, Sabrina, Heart and Souls, Ghostbusters 1& 2, etc.

7. the snow or the rain.

8. playing and/or having a "talk" with little kids.

9. travelling.

plane/road trips.

10. catching up with old friends & realizing that nothing between you two has change.

laughing on how stupid you were when you were young and crying when it's time to say good bye again.
